Good Faith Hiring

Adopt the standard

Any employer can follow the commitments, free. To be listed and use the badge, we check three of your live adverts first.

Following the commitments

You don’t need permission to follow Good Faith Hiring. Build it into how you hire (the guide for employers shows how), and say so in your adverts with a link to this site.

Only say you follow it if you do. Saying you follow a code of practice when you don’t can break consumer and advertising law.

Getting listed

To appear on the adopters list and use the badge, email hello@goodfaithhiring.co.uk with:

  • your organisation’s name and careers page
  • links to three adverts that are live now
  • the name and email of someone we can contact (kept private)

A maintainer checks the three adverts against the employer side of commitments 1 to 4: pay, location, right to work and requirements. If they meet them, we add you to the list. If not, we’ll tell you what to change.

Listing is free, and always will be. It isn’t linked to advertising with Future Tech Jobs or anyone else.

The adopters list terms

  • What we publish: your organisation’s name, a link to your careers page, the date you were listed and the version you adopted. Nothing else.
  • What we keep privately: your contact’s name and email, and the adverts we checked. We use them only to run the list.
  • Leaving: email us and we’ll remove you within 5 working days. You don’t need to give a reason.
  • Removal: if you stop following the commitments, we’ll contact you first and give you a chance to respond. The process is on the about page. If you’re removed, we say only that you’re “no longer listed”.

The badge

The Good Faith Hiring badge

Listed adopters can show the badge on their careers pages and adverts, linking to this site.

Badge terms:

  • Only employers on the adopters list may use the badge. Being listed is what authorises you to use it.
  • It means you’ve declared that you follow the commitments, and we’ve checked three adverts against commitments 1 to 4. It doesn’t mean we’ve audited your hiring, and you shouldn’t suggest it does.
  • Don’t change the badge or combine it with another mark. Use the light or dark version as supplied.
  • Stop using it within 10 working days if you leave the list or are removed.
  • The badge doesn’t mean Future Tech Jobs endorses your organisation or your jobs.

Add this to the end of your adverts:

We follow Good Faith Hiring: the salary, location and visa sponsorship are above, we’ll reply to every application within 5 working days, and everyone we interview gets feedback.
